Introduction and Blurb
About the novel, Five Dollar Wrench
This novel is a work in progress. The story has been written and is being published here in its entirety. The writing is still being refined. Please keep that in mind.
Five Dollar Wrench is the story of a small town girl who grows up to be a multi-millionaire thief. And she did it old-school. Sort of.
“Always film,” she says. “Never digital. That’s how it’s done.”
This is also a story about consequences, and how there ain’t no demons like inner demons.
I post new scenes from the novel every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Click the Table Of Contents for the list, with links to each scene. Each is numbered to make it easy to follow along.
Blurb:
The Tesla with a crypto bumper sticker? The driver’s a mark, and he’s being followed. When he gets robbed, he’ll never know who did it. He won’t even know how it happened.
Who’s following him?
She says she’s a ghost, and she goes by many names. She’s robbed hundreds of men. She’s responsible for the deaths of sixteen that she knows of. Surely more. Love is the key to your heart, but she has the key to your front door, and you’ve never met her.
She hates rules, but she does have a few.
Rule #1? When in doubt, get out.
Rule #2 comes with a Five Dollar Wrench.
